Gary Veloric is a third-generation entrepreneur who has founded, owned, shaped, and reshaped nearly one hundred major businesses and has been involved in over $15 billion in transactions. His professional fingerprints can be found across numerous industries including finance, healthcare, technology, real estate, hospitality, sports, entertainment, venture capital, and more.
Gary is the founder and CEO of the Red Stripe Plane Group, a platform that advises and invests with entrepreneurs and companies of all sizes. Since January of 2023, Gary also has served as a Managing Director at Mufson Howe Hunter & Company LLC, a middle-market investment bank.
Gary co-founded J.G. Wentworth, a specialty finance company and national brand for purchasing structured settlements that still dominates the industry today. During a 16-year tenure with the company, Gary served as J.G. Wentworth’s chief strategist. Before branching out on his own, Gary began his career working in a variety of roles at Geriatric & Medical Companies, a publicly traded long-term care company his family founded.
He is a graduate of American University and a founding member of the university’s Kogod School of Business Advisory Board. He was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws Honoris Causa degree by his alma mater in 2013.
In 2023, Gary and his family helped fund and launch The Veloric Center for Entrepreneurship at American University, which oversees entrepreneurial-focused curriculum, and provides a range of experiential learning opportunities for students and alumni to incubate and launch startup companies.
